Brown Sugar Bugaboo Tulip Egg

I am please to announce i have been invited to join the Brown Sugar Challenge DT
This weeks challenge is

I choose to use the Egg ..

The image said Easter to me,  but i didn't want to use the usual colours related to Easter...
pastel shades.  The area of the Egg is quiet big, and didn't like to shade it.
So i decided to zen-tangle the image.

I used a fine black pen to complete the Zen-tangle,
I used amethyst  & leaf green pro-markers to colour the tulip and leaves.

Once complete i mounted it onto a piece of black card, and mounted it on to a purple card.

I never imagine it would turn out like this when i first looked a the image,
but now i like it and feel it could be used for  other occasions as well as Easter.

Hope you like my creation

Delicious Doodles Fairy Fae

The challenge over at Creative moments this week was

Delicious Doodles  / Anything Goes

"Fairy Fae"  has butterflies in it,  so i decide to focus on butterflies.

The colours I decided to use where  mainly browns,
and then I choose blue for the butterflies.

Colours used :
Skin :  Vanilla ,  Satin & Almond
Hair :  Raw Sienna, Tan & Tawny Owl
Butterflies:  Azure, Sky blue & Powder blue.

I coloured the image and then took a sheet of clue card,
and cut a frame using Tonic Butterfly border punch.

I then added it on to a white card blank.
I was going to put a sentiment on it,  but felt it
distracted  the focus in the lovely Delicious Doodles image

I also thought it would look lovely mounted in a frame...  but i don't have one at hand to use !

I hope you like this one.

Eureka Zebra Love

Creative moments
12th Feb        Anything Goes  /  Love
Our sponsor was :

I choose this Zebra couple.

the image itself didn't need much doing to it, being the are black and white anyway,
but it decided  to cut it out in a heart shape,
so I dug out my Tonic verso dies to cut the hearts and the layers, including the sentiment.

I was going to do red and white and silver, but decided to go for pink.
I used my Papermania Scrumptious 12x12 papers
The rosette is a piece of pink metallic ribbon gathered up.

I hope you like this one.

Tonic

I love my tonic dies
and hear are a few i have made using the latest sentiment dies

"Just a note to say"

I found a image from my Lilly of the Valley "true love"  pad and  cut a piece of  of brown card, which i could layer it on,  before i stuck it down i cut "just a note to say" from the middle of it,
I then took an white A5 card, and mounted a piece of green patterned paper on the front.
Then added a strip of brown dotty paper and put it along the bottom.
The sentiment was added, and added a gold bow to finished it off.

"All my love"

This image is also from the Lilly of the Valley "true love" pad.
I made it i a similar way  and cut the sentiment from the piece of the purple card i mounted the image on.
This time i stuck the sentiment on a heart cut from a piece of silver mirri board.
The strip at the bottom is punched using the  tonic love arch border punch

Stitchy bear 15 jan

Creative Moments

15th Jan
Anything Goes

This week we had images from Stitchy Bear

I love this image,   i used the leaves for the inspiration for the colours
for back ground and embellishments

I pro-markers i mainly used were:
oatmeal
apricot
duck egg (blue)
aqua
Lime green
leaf green
and various other greens and browns.

Once the image was coloured in,  i mounted it on to a piece of  dark blue / green.
I took a A5 and mounted a piece of lime green card on to it.
I then cut out the leaves out of a piece of card i have made using my spritzers.
and i then cut  "Just a note to say" for the same card i  mounted the image on.
I stuck this in to a piece of white card and also mounted it on the dark  blue/green card.

Finally i added the sentiment to the top right hand corner and
add the leaves underneath it

I hope you enjoy this project
and hope to see you soon
